Question:
Convert-A-Ball Cushioned 5th-Wheel-to-Gooseneck I am currently driving a 99 Silverado shortbed with a CM flatbed. Will this hitch clear the sides of the ball well when attached?

The Convert-A-Ball Cushioned 5th-Wheel-to-Gooseneck Adapter w/ Offset - 12" to 16" Tall # CAB-C5GX1216 will work if you have about 12 inches diameter clearance around the hitch ball. This unit will have a 4 inch height adjustment but the base is only 3-1/8 inches from the bar that gives you the offset. The height adjustment is on the end of that bar at the trailer side. I've attached a photo to help.
If you do not have this clearance, I recommend the Convert-A-Ball Cushioned 5th-Wheel-to-Gooseneck Adapter - 12" to 16" Tall - 20,000 lbs # CAB-C5G for your application.
