Wiring to Use When installing a 7-Way Trailer Connector
Question:
Does the wire need to be diffent colors? If I have just black 16 g wire and color lable the wires, that should work right? I can not think of a reason I need color wire if Im organized and know where Im running stuff to, BUT with this stuff I dont know. Perhaps I missed something.

The color of the wire you use doesn't matter but the wire gauge is important when installing a 7-way connector like # H20044. You don't want to use a gauge smaller than what is used on the connector.
For example, the # H20044 uses 14 gauge wire for the red, brown, green, and yellow wires. But has 12 gauge for the blue brake wire and 10 gauge for the black 12 volt power and white ground wires.
We carry 12 gauge # 12-1-1 and 10 gauge # 10-1-1. Both are sold by the foot.
