Kayak Paddle Holder on Rhino-Rack J-Style Kayak Carrier and How to Lock Kayaks to Carrier

Question:

Is this the only product that has a kayak paddle holder with the kayak holder? How does it work? And is there any way either the kayak or the paddle can be locked in place so they are not stolen when I am not near my car? 2005 Ford Focus ST 4 door sedan

Rhino-Rack J-Style Kayak Carrier - Folding - Universal Mount Item # S512 is pretty much the only carrier that comes with a built-in paddle holder. There are cradles on the backs of the uprights with rubber straps to hold the paddle. I have included a picture pointing them out.

In order to lock items to the carrier and the carrier to the rack your best option is to use a cable lock such as # e98891.
