I have the perfect trailer hitch receiver that is a confirmed fit for your 2015 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter. For this, I recommend using the Draw-Tite Class III Max Frame Receiver Hitch part # 75549 for cab and chassis models and part # 75601 for both the 2500 and 3500 models. I have attached an installation video of this hitch on a 2016 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter Van for you.

The Draw-Tite Class III Max Frame Receiver for cab and chassis models has a maximum weight capacity of 600 lbs. tongue weight (TW) and 6,000 lbs. gross trailer weight (GTW) which should work well for you. However, the Draw-Tite Class III Max Frame Receiver for the 2500 and 3500 models has a maximum weight capacity of 500 lbs. tongue weight (TW) and 5,000 lbs. gross trailer weight (GTW) therefore, you will need to add a weight distribution system in order to obtain a weight capacity higher than 5,000 of gross trailer weight (GTW). Adding a weight distribution system to either hitch will raise the tongue weight (TW) to 750 lbs. and the gross trailer weight (GTW) to 7,500 lbs.

In order to recommend the correct weight distribution system for your needs, I would need to know your towing setups total tongue weight. This can be done by using a tongue weight scale such as the Sherline Trailer Tongue Weight Scale part # 5780 to calculate your trailers loaded ready to tow tongue weight in addition to any cargo stored behind the rear axle of the tow vehicle. A weight distribution system is recommended when the gross trailer weight (GTW) is more than 50% of your gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR). Generally speaking, the tongue weight (TW) of a trailer is typically 10-15% of the gross trailer weight (GTW). I have attached both weight distribution and tongue weight help articles for you.

When choosing a weight distribution system, you will want your total tongue weight to fall in the middle of the tongue weight rating for the weight distribution system. If you can provide me with your total tongue weight then I would be happy to recommend a weight distribution system however, I have attached my recommendations of a weight distribution system with sway control for the following tongue weight ranges for you below.

600-1,000 lbs: Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution System w/ 4-Point Sway Control part # EQ37100ET

800-1,200 lbs: Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution System w/ 4-Point Sway Control part # EQ37120ET

1,000-1,400 lbs: Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution System w/ 4-Point Sway Control part # EQ37140ET
