Question:
Ordered the Curt R16 slider to add to my E16 since I needed the extra space. It slides to the rear fine but forward only 6inch before it catches and stops. I have to let the landing gear down to get the weight off truck and then it works fine. Is this Normal????

The Curt R16 Round Tube Slider for E16 and A16 5th Wheel Trailer Hitches - 12" Travel # C16560 should not be binding when sliding forward. When the trailer weight isn't on it, it rolls fine? It sounds like there is something binding in your slider when it is under load. I recommend having it looked at if you can't figure it out. You should be able to engage a slider in either towing or turning position multiple times without ever needing to put your landing gear down. It sounds like the unit may be damaged and needs replacing.
