Towing Capacity of Trailer Hitch for 2017 Subaru Impreza
Question:
Hi, I want to find out what the official rated towing capacity of the 2017 Subaru Impreza 5-door Sport is and whether adding this hitch and/or the trailer brake will affect the Subaru warranty. Thank you

I was unable to find the exact towing capacity of your vehicle online. Best option will be to check your owners manual or to check with Subaru directly. When determining the overall towing capacity of a setup you have to go by the lowest rated component as the overall capacity.
The Draw Tite part # DT24959 is a fit for your 2017 Subaru Impreza and it has towing capacities of 2,000 lbs total trailer weight and 200 lbs tongue weight. If that is higher than the capacity of your vehicle as listed by Subaru you would have to go by the Subaru towing capacity.
