Question:
Why do none of the plug in connectors for a 2013 Tacoma not plug in? Ive purchased everything but the cheap looking setup that attaches to the tail lights. It doesnt seem that complicated there are connectors back here to work with. Im sure if I had an America vehicle this would be really simple since the connector installed on all of these kits is the universal American standard.

We have a large selection of trailer wiring harnesses that are confirmed to fit your 2013 Toyota Tacoma. The correct harness will depend on whether or not your truck has a factory 7-way connector.
If your Tacoma came with a factory 7-Way installed, I recommend the Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring harness # 118384. This harness will simply plug into the built-in port under the vehicle, on the driver's side. I have attached the installation details for you to look through.
If your truck does not have a factory 7-Way, you will instead need the Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118496. This harness will also use a T-One connector that will plug directly into built-in ports behind the driver and passenger side tail lights. We have an installation video on your 2013 Toyota Tacoma, which I have linked, that you can use for reference.
