Recommended Cargo Hatch Bag for Use with or without Roof Rack

I think something like the Rightline Gear Cargo Hatch Saddlebag - Waterproof - 13 cu ft - 40inch x 20inch x 28 Item # RL100B90 would be perfect for me. For this, I would only need the roof rack to attach it to? I could also use both, right? Can I use the grate I have to attach the top carrier to? Thanks again!

The Rightline Gear Cargo Hatch Saddlebag - Waterproof - 13 cu ft - 40" x 20" x 28" # RL100B90 will attach to a roof rack, but it is also able to be used without one using the Car Clips for Rightline Cargo Hatch Saddlebag - Qty 2 # RL100605. If you choose to use the clips it will not change the roof rating capacity of your vehicle, so this may be helpful if you are already close to that capacity limit with other cargo.

I recommend using the Cable Lock for Rightline Cargo Bags - 35" Long # RL100640 to secure your bag and deter theft.

You can use your cargo tray/grate with this product.
