Question:
I tow a double axle box trailer with equipment mounted inside. The weight distribution concerns me. Most of the weight is to the rear of the trailer. Should I be concerned? Is there legislation I need to be aware of?

Ideally, the weight should be evenly distributed laterally with 60% of the weight in front of the axles, and 40% behind them. Too much weight in the rear can cause trailer sway, which if you haven't experienced it, can be very scary. I'm not aware of any specific legislation relating to this.
If you're experiencing sway problems, try moving some more of the cargo forward of the trailer axles. This should go a long way toward improving any sway you might be experiencing.
