My current trailer has a 4 way or 5way flat plif, and I want to eliminate the flat blade connector to allow the use Ive two or for led light pods. Which wire on the 7 way connector is the reverse wire? Do I need to added relays or fuses? And will the same setup work on various vehicles? i.e. my Dodge Ram 1500 and my buddies Chevy Colorodo

Expert Reply:
On your 7-Way Molded Trailer Wire Connector, 6' Long # H20044 the reverse wire is the yellow wire. You do not need to add any fuses or relays. To make connection easy, I've attached an install video where they use a junction box like # 38656 but you can use butt connectors if you desire instead like # DW05744-5 and # DW05745-5.
This same trailer connection function location will work with your Ram and buddy's Colorado as it use the same 7-way wiring locations.
