In order to choose the correct replacement, I first recommend measuring your vent. Most vents have a standard measurement of 14-1/4 inches x 14-1/4 inches or 14 inches x 14 inches. If you are able to locate the manufacturer/brand of your vent, this will also help in narrowing down the possibilities. Lastly, you will want to look at the hinged portion on your existing vent.

For example, the Ventline Vent Cover # BV0554-03 features a continuous rolled metal hinge and is designed for 14-1/4 inch x 14-1/4 inch roof vents. I have attached an image that shows the various types of hinges available that you can reference when looking at yours.
