Determining the Correct Replacement Brakes for a Trailer

How do I find out what type of replacement brakes I need? I have a 2006 weekend warrior 39cr. Can you help me?

There are a few things you'll need to know before you can find the correct replacement brakes. The first thing is whether or not you have disc brakes or drum brakes, and if they are hydraulic brakes or electric brakes; for electric brakes you'd have a brake controller, but would not if you had hydraulic. Drum brakes will have a hub and drum assembly such as etrailer # AKHD-545-35-EZ-K while disc brakes will have a hub and rotor assembly such as Kodiak # K2HR35D.

The other information you will need is the weight capacity of the axle; this is necessary to get brakes with the correct stopping power. You will likely be able to find the capacity stamped on the axle itself, or by calling the manufacturer with the serial number.

Once you have that information you can use it to find the replacements that will work for your 2006 Weekend Warrior. I've added a link to our page with each of our brake assemblies that you can come back to.
