Does the brake on the Master lock 2953at act as tie down strap when towing a boat?

Expert Reply:
I checked with Master Lock and winch # 2953AT should not be used to hold a load. Once the boat has been winched onto the trailer the front of the boat should be secured with a strap such as # IMF14220 or something appropriately rated for the boat.
