I do have a solution that will allow you to cool your 2007 Nissan Pathfinder's transmission fluid without running the risk of coolant leaking inside the transmission but unfortunately, the radiator will need to be replaced no matter which route you go. This is a fairly common problem on certain vehicles and can cause further harm to both the vehicle and transmission if not corrected.

The easiest way to prevent any further mishaps would entail bypassing the factory radiator for transmission fluid cooling. As the radiator is the main source of the vehicles ability to cool transmission fluid, you will need a heavy duty transmission cooler to take over the responsibilities of being the main source for cooling the vehicle's transmission fluid.

For this, I recommend using a remote mount cooler like the Derale Hyper-Cool Remote Transmission Cooler Kit part # D13960. This cooler will eliminate the transmission fluid ever passing through the radiator and will do a good job as the sole provider for cooling the transmission fluid. As long as you have 13" wide x 10" tall x 5-5/8" deep of space for the cooler to be mounted anywhere on the vehicle then it will work well for you.

To eliminate the need to install a toggle switch to operate the cooler, I also recommend using the Derale Premium In-Line Fan Control Thermostat part # D35020 as this will automatically control the cooling fan for optimal temperature without the need for any user adjustments.
