RockyMounts Backstage 2 Tilting Swing away Mercedes Sprinter 3500
Question:
Are you sure the height of the rack does not interfere with back door opening on the Sprinter? How high is it above the top of the portion that goes into the 2inch hitch receiver?

The Rocky Mounts Backstage 2 Bike Rack, part # RKY10002's shank has two parts that may interact with the door. The top of the swing away mechanism, and the top of the central rail of the bike rack.
The top of the swing-away mechanism is 3.5 inches above the receiver shank, and the top rail of the bike rack sits 9.5 inches above the receiver shank.
You can check your clearance by measuring from the top of the trailer hitch receiver on your Sprinter to the bottom of the doors. If you have at least 13 inches between these two points, which will give you room to also clear the cradles on the top of the rack, you'll be able to open over the rack while it is unloaded.
If you have less than 13 inches, but more than 3.5 inches, you'll use the tilt-away or swing away feature of the rack to move it out of the way of the doors.
To demonstrate the versatility of this rack, I've included our video review and a customer picture of a very unique application of the bike rack so you can see how flexible this rack really is.
