Question:
Hi, Im looking to install a rack on my F250 crew cab to support the front end of a canoe. See attached pic. Can the Y02-480 be installed on it and if so how much trouble is lowering the head liner? If this is too hard what other options are available to support the front end of the canoe?

For your 2016 Ford F-250 Crew Cab, the Rhino-Rack RS 2500 Roof Rack for Naked Roofs - Vortex Aero Crossbars # RRRS487B is my recommendation. This is a confirmed fit for your truck with customized clamps to fit your precise vehicle. These are not adjustable for height but will protect your truck cab and support the weight of the canoe as needed.
The Rhino-Rack Roof Rack System w/ 2 Vortex Aero Crossbars - Track Mount - Silver - 54" Long # Y02-480 will not fit on your truck.
Another possible option is because you have the TracRac, you may be able to use the Cantilever Extension for TracRac SR, G2, and T-Rac Pro2 Ladder Racks - 1,000 lbs - Full Size # TH24002XT which adds an extra 32 inches of length to your ladder rack. Your crossbar length needs to be 69-1/2 inches for this.
For the most basic option, you can use the Malone Canoe Carrier with Tie-Downs - Foam Block Style - 6" Long - 1 Canoe # MPG156 to protect your roof since the weight is supported on the ladder rack.

Cantilever Extension for Thule Ladder Racks - 1,000 lbs - Full Size
