Converting 4-Way Connector on 1997 Chevy Truck to 6-Way Square Connector on Dutchman Pop-Up Camper

Is there a pigtail harness 4way flat to 6 way square for a 1996 dutchman duck popup camper? If not will part #30104 provide running lights brake lights and turn signal? Thats all that is needed to make for safe travel with this camper.

If you only need the lighting circuits to function on your Dutchman pop-up camper, you can remove the existing 6-Way square connector and install the Draw-Tite 4-Way Trailer End Connector, part # 18004. This will plug into the 4-Way on your 1997 Chevrolet C/K truck and give you running light, brake lights, and turn signals.

You would wire the 4-Way connector to the wires from the 6-Way, color to color. The white wire on the 4-Way would be grounded to the trailer frame. The brown wire would be for the running lights. The yellow wire is for left turn and brake, and the green wire is for right turn and brake.

The two remaining wires on the 6-Way are black (or red), that is used for 12 volt battery power and blue for electric brake controller output. Since those wires will not be used you can taped them up and out of the way.

The Hidden Hitch Adapter 4 Way Flat to 6 Way Square, part # 30104 you have referenced will only work with Jayco campers. There is no adapter that will work on a Dutchman camper.

I am including a link to a FAQ page on trailer wiring.
