Installing the Curt 2 Bike Platform Rack
Question:
My mechanic will be installing a receiver hitch on my 2017rav 4. I won’t have the curt bike rack on my car all the time. Is it easy to reinstall with 1 person?

The Curt 2 Bike Platform Rack, part # C18085 is a fairly easy install. To install it, you'll simply insert it into the receiver, then secure it with the included anti-rattle bolt using the included tool. I do recommend getting a full sized ratchet though, as it will install the bolt much faster than the included tool.
I've attached a video review of this rack, and at about the 3:20 mark, you can watch one of our reviewers putting the rack onto the vehicle so you can get familiar with the process.
Since the rack doesn't have any native security features, I'd recommend adding the Curt Adjustible Cable Lock, part # C23666. This easy to use lock installs through the bike frame and around the safety chain loop on the hitch, giving you added peace of mind if you have to leave the vehicle during a quick stop before or after a ride.
