Replacement Hub and Drum Assemblies with Inner Bearing 25580 and Outer Bearing 15123

Question:

hello . I am looking at purchasing the following hub and drum assembly akhd-655-6-ez-k four of them for a trailer i recently purchased. My understanding is that they are dexter axles about 8.5 foot wide. The spindle diameter for the outer bearing is approximately 1.25inch and the spindle diameter for the inner bearing is 1.75. my spindles dont have a step like in your drawing between d and c it is more like a taper. I purchase the bearings 25580 and 15123, as per your product information, from the local auto stores and they fit just perfect. I could read inner bearing number same as yours. I could not read the outer bearing part number. My concern do you know if the taper on my spindle between d and c would make a difference to the way your drawing showing a step? Also I have 12x2inch brakes would this product fit? Thank you for your help.

If the existing inner and outer bearings on your trailer are indeed # 25580 and # 15123 respectively, then the Trailer Hub and Drum Assembly # AKHD-655-6-EZ-K referenced in your question will work perfectly. You will also just want to take note of the axle capacity on your trailer, as this assembly is designed for 5,200 to 6,000 pound axles. The taper that you mentioned on your trailer's spindle is not an issue. This hub and drum assembly features a 6 on 5-1/2 inch bolt pattern and the bearings, races and grease seal are included.

This assembly is compatible with 12 x 2 inch brakes such as # AKEBRK-6L and # AKEBRK-6R. If your existing brake assemblies measure 12 inches wide and 2 inches deep, they will work well with these hubs.

I have the same inner and outer bearing dimensions but was wondering if there was a hub and drum option you offer for 5 on 5.5 bolt pattern

The only hub options we have that use the 5 on 5-1/2" bolt pattern use inner bearing # L68149 and outer bearing L44649 which are much different than the bearings mentioned above. For your application you're going to need to swap out what wheels you're currently using for something that is compatible with the hub/drum options that fit your trailer axle. Here is a link to our selection of tires and wheels for you to filter through.
