Can Electric Trailer Tongue Jack Still Function Without 12V Electrical Power

if I have a electric 5000 lb lift and I lose power how do I get it up

If an electric trailer jack cannot get the 12V operating power it needs to function it can still be operated using the included manual crank. This is shown in the linked example review video (and an installation video is linked too). The manual operating crank is used at the top of the jack housing, by removing the rubber plug.

The power this or any other electric jack requires to operate will vary depending on the load. At the maximum rated lift capacity any jack will draw the most power. The jack will use less power to lower the trailer or to lift lighter loads.

This jack uses the mounting plate surface to establish the ground; the single black power wire then connects to your trailer battery through the supplied 30-amp fuse. It is important that the mounting plate make solid electrical contact to the trailer frame to give you a good ground. Sanding off the paint/primer from the mounting point and applying dielectric grease like # 11755 will protect the ground from corrosion that could interfere with jack operation.
