Question:
my trailer has a 7 wire conector the same as your 50-67-005 molded connector end. I need to connect this to my vehicle that has a basic flat 4 connector, I tried a Hopkins 47205 and it does not make a good connection.what is your suggestion for this?

The Hopkins Endurance Quick-Install Trailer Connector Adapter - 4-Way Flat to 7-Blade # HM47200 is a great start for your 7-way molded trailer connector, but you will need to not only install the 4-way trailer connector, but also make sure you have a good ground connection on the white wire with the terminal ring. This will not give you a good connection without a bare metal to metal connection on that wire. Then you can add the other 3 wires to complete your 7-way.
The purple wire will splice into your factory reverse light wiring, the red will connect to your 12V power and the blue wire will connect to an electric brake controller like # 90195.
If you want the universal wiring kit with the connectors, wire, and circuit breakers needed I recommend # 5506. This will connect to your system just like the complete kit # ETBC7 which includes the connector like what you currently have. I've attached a video and an article to assist.
