Question:
Im looking at a 1994 FL 70 Freightliner with a 12 ft wood deck on the back. Should I try to go trough the wood and all the way to the frame? If Im going that route I could just use any kit you have that would fit the frame width. I will be hauling a 30 ft Big Tex rated at 30K lb.

For your 1994 Fl 70 Freightliner with a 12 foot wood deck, the best option for installing a gooseneck hitch will be with the B&W Turnoverball Underbed Gooseneck Trailer Hitch # BWGNRK1500. This gooseneck hitch is specifically designed for flatbed applications on a wooden deck. When installing the hitch, you will want to go through the wood to get to the truck's frame. You will need to provide 1/4 inch thick brace straps to attach the hitch to the frame.
Also keep in mind that some welding will be required, which I recommend having done by a qualified professional. I have also attached the written installation instructions so you can get a clear picture of how this will install.
