Troubleshooting 7-Way on Trailer that is Corroded Due to Rain and Snow
Question:
How would I to get rid of trailer 7 prong corrosion the i live in canada so theirs train and snow the trailer dose not have cover so the 7 prong is in the elements we took it camping 2 years ago but we did no turn signals beaucase our friend who towed it did not have trailer hookups so we dont know if it works we might be able to see if are building caretaker could test them with his truck beacus we do not have a hitch but where likely getting one by the summer when we go camping

If the 7-Way on your trailer is corroded past the point of cleaning it off then it would be best to replace it. You can use either the 7-Way Molded Trailer Wire Connector # H20044 or the 7-Way Molded Trailer Plug with Junction Box # HS381-9000, which is what I recommend using.
Aside from just covering it up with something to help protect it, you will want to put some Dielectric Grease # 11755 on your trailer connector. This grease will help to protect the pins from corrosion and moisture.
