Recommended Trailer Hitch for 2015 Dodge Durango

I have a 2015 Dodge Durango limited. Ive found two hitches on your site that say the fit my vehicle, but they dont look the same. Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2inch Item # 75713 has a much greater offset down than Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2inch Item # C13182. I want the correct item but dont want it to hang down lower than necessary. Thanks.

Both the Draw-Tite Class III Max Frame Receiver Hitch # 75713 and the Curt Class III Round Tube # C13182 referenced in your question are indeed confirmed to fit your 2015 Dodge Durango. The two hitches do differ a bit in their physical appearance but both will actually mount in the same location under the vehicle and provide nearly identical ground and bumper clearance dimensions.

When we installed the Draw-Tite model on your 2015 Dodge Durango, there was a measurement of 14 inches from the ground to the top of the receiver and a distance of 2 inches from the center of the hitch pin hole to the outermost edge of the rear bumper. When installing the Curt model on your vehicle, there was the same 14 inch ground clearance measurement and a slightly larger 3 inch measurement from the hitch pin hole to the bumper, meaning the Curt model is tucked behind the rear bumper a bit more.

Between the two models, I recommend going with the Draw-Tite # 75713 because it features higher towing and tongue weight capacities and allows the full size spare tire (if equipped) to remain stowed under the vehicle after installation.
