Instructions for Trimming Under Body Panel on a BMW 1 Series 135i

Concerned about trimming the rear bumper cover and it not appearing professional. What is the best way to do this?

The under body panel that needs to be trimmed is at the rear of the vehicle underneath behind the rear fascia. The rear fascia itself will not need to be trimmed. Detailed trimming information is provided in the installation instructions, see drawing and instructions link.

The best way to trim these parts is to take them off the vehicle and use a Dremel with cut off disc. A steady hand is required, and the edges can be touched up with a small file. A razor knife is also an option, but requires careful operation to avoid slipping and scarring areas not to be removed.
