Do the TorkLift Frame-Mounted Camper Tie Downs Require Drilling on a 2018 Chevrolet Silverado 2500
Question:
Im new to the truck campers. So I just want to make sure Im buying the right product. I have a 2018 Chevy Silverado 2500 crew cab with an 8 foot bed and factory installed hitch and factory exhaust. So is this the correct brackets for me? Also is it my understanding that these bolt into existing holes in the frame no drilling? Im just not sure Im ready to drill holes in my new truck. Sorry to waste your time if these are foolish questions. But thanks in advance.

Not at all and we are glad we have the chance to help you! For your 2018 Chevrolet Silverado 2500, as long as you do not have wheel to wheel running boards and or nerf bars then the correct set for you would indeed be the TorkLift Custom Frame-Mounted Camper Tie part # TLC2219 for the front and part # TLC3215 for the rear.
Neither the front or rear tie-downs will require any drilling whatsoever. The tie-downs attach to the frame via existing pre-drilled hole that come from the manufacturer. In order to secure your truck bed camper to the above tie-downs you will also need a set of matching turnbuckles and for this I recommend taking a look at the TorkLift Locking FastGun Turnbuckles part # TLS9529-2-LK.
I have attached a review video of the tie-downs and turnbuckles for you as well.
