Question:
What is the height above the ball that the offset starts? The top of my 2 5/16 ball is 1/4 inch below the floor of my flatbed. Will the offset clear?? I have a Bradford Built flatbed on my 2005 Chev Silverado 3500 Duramax.

On the Convert-A-Ball Cushioned 5th-Wheel-to-Gooseneck Adapter, # CAB-C5GX1216, from the bottom of the coupler that goes around the ball up to the bottom of the horizontal plate is approximately 3 inches.
The rectangular part of the coupler portion of this adapter measures 7-1/4 inches from side to side and 5-1/2 inches front to back. With these measurements, you should be able to determine if the adapter will work for your application.
We do have another option with an 8 inch offset and higher pin weight capacity (6,000 pounds, the Convert-A-Ball has a 2,000 pound pin weight capacity). Take a look at the Ranch Hitch, # AM3139. At its widest point where it connects to the ball, the outside measurement is 5-1/2 inches. From the bottom of the coupler up to the bottom of the horizontal offset measures 4-1/2 inches.
