The Trailair Rota-Flex 5th Wheel Pin Box - Lippert 1621 or 1621HD - 18,000 lbs # LC328330 is compatible with both long and short bed trucks. The turning clearance will be determined by the 5th wheel hitch. I recommend using a sliding 5th wheel hitch with a short bed versus a fixed hitch with a long bed.
The Trailair Rota-Flex pin box will work well for you as long as you have a 1621 or 1621HD pin box you are wanting to replace. the Rota-Flex uses a pivoting head with a rubber compound integrated to reduce jarring and chucking for a smoother ride.
