Towing a Small SnowBear Trailer with a 2015 Honda Civic
Question:
good day, i want to buy a trailer from a friend, we both dont know very much about technicalities from a trailer. The trailer is a 4x8 snowbear trailer. How can we determine the ball size on it. will it be written on the trailer or do i have to guess.

The correct hitch ball you will need for your 4x8 SnowBear trailer will be stamped onto the coupler itself. The coupler more than likely uses either a 1-7/8" or 2" hitch ball. In order to set your 2015 Honda Civic up to tow the above trailer you will need a few items such as a trailer hitch, wiring harness, and ball mount/hitch ball.
For a trailer hitch confirmed to fit your Civic, I recommend using the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # C11391. I have attached an installation video of this hitch for you to check out.
Then for a wiring harness I recommend the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness part # 118420 for sedans or part # 118437 for coupes. Tekonsha brand wiring harnesses tend to have the best reviews and last the longest. The recommended ball mount for you would then be the Draw-Tite Drawbar part # 3593 which has a 2-1/8" rise and 2-3/4" drop. In order to determine if the above rise/drop will work, you will want to take a look at the attached ball mount help article.
If your trailer coupler uses a 2" hitch ball then you would also need part # 19258 but if it uses a 1-7/8" hitch ball then you would need part # 19256.
