Recommendation For Replacement Spindle And Bearings For Older Trailer
Question:
Hello. I have a 30+ yr old trailer. The outside bearing went and took out the spindle. The inside bearing is 25580 and the seal is 2 1/8. I can't find the front bearing. Only number on it is 5123...but what I really need is the spindle...any help would be thankful. They say the spindle screws in so I don't have to replace the whole axle tune.

I did some research and it sounds like you have a 5,000-lbs to 6,000-lbs axle with inner bearings like Item # 25580 and outer bearings like Item # 15123. I recommend Bearing Kit Item # BK3-110 that includes everything you need to replace your bearings and seal.
Based on your information, it sounds like the replacement spindle you need is like Item # TRU57FR. I have included a link to our spindle department so you can look at other possibilities. Spindles are welded for installation and this should be done by a professional welder in a trailer shop.
If you need hubs, I recommend Trailer Hub and Drum Assembly Item # AKHD-655-6-K. Based on your information, it fits your trailer. This particular assembly also includes inner and outer bearings, seal, grease cap, and lug nuts.
If these do not seem to match your trailer then send me some more information like your axle capacity, type of trailer, measurements of bearings as determined with digital caliper (Item # PTW80157), and some pictures and I will make a correct recommendation.
