How to Tow a 5th Wheel Trailer with MORryde Pin Box on a Gooseneck Trailer Hitch

I do have an option that will allow you to tow a 5th wheel trailer with the gooseneck hitch you have installed on your 2004 Dodge Ram but none of our 5th wheel to gooseneck adapters including the Convert-A-Ball Cushioned 5th-Wheel-to-Gooseneck Adapter part # CAB-C5GX1216 will work with your MORryde pin box. Using both a cushioned pin box and cushioned adapter would create far too much stress on both the adapter and pin box.

The only option I have for you to tow your trailer without installing a 5th wheel hitch would involve replacing the MORryde pin box you have now with a Reese Goose Box 5th-Wheel-to-Gooseneck Air Ride Coupler Adapter like part # RP94720 which replace Lippert 1621, 1621HD, and 0719 pin boxes.

Since safety chains will be required for use with 5th wheel to gooseneck adapters, the Tow Ready Safety Chain Kit with Clevis Hooks part # 49150 is what I recommend.
