How to Use a 2006 Factory Ford Brake Controller with an Electric Over Hydraulic Brake Actuator
Question:
I have this electric over hydraulic pump installed on my fifth wheel, and it works well with my 2006 F350 factory brake controller with one exception — when depressing the brake, I get a ‘beep’ and notification of trailer fault from my truck. This only began once I switched over to this hydraulic pump originally the fifth wheel had electric brakes. Any known fixes for this?

In order to use the factory brake controller in your 2006 Ford F-350 with your trailer that has since been converted from electric brakes to electric over hydraulic brakes, you will need to use part # T4845900 for Titan brake actuators or part # HBA-CAM for HydraStar brake actuators.
The factory brake controllers used in the Ford pickup trucks did not come equipped with an electric over hydraulic mode until 2013 therefore you will need to use either one of the above adapters in order for your controller to work with an electric over hydraulic brake actuator.
