What are the Functions for 4-Way Flat Connector on the Tekonsha T-One # 118329

Question:

I connected the trailer light harness 118329 to my truck lights and the trailer lights didnt work at all. I looked at voltages on the connector and they dont quite make sense. What should I see in all posible positions? Brakes, left turn, running lights etc.

You should be finding about 12V of power to 3 of the pins and then no power to the exposed pin.

The exposed pin is for your Ground, the one with the Brown wire is for Running/Tail Lights, the Yellow wire will be for Left Turn/Stop, and the Green wire is for Right Turn/Stop. You will want to make sure that the clips with the Yellow wire are installed on the driver side of your truck and the clips with the Green wire are installed on the passenger side of your truck (see attached installation video).

If the lights on your trailer are not working you will want to troubleshoot those by using a 12V power source, like the battery from your truck and testing each pin with the positive terminal while the negative terminal is run to a ground source.

You may have a loose ground or some damaged wiring that could be the problem too. Let me know what you find and I can help you to troubleshoot further.
