Question:
I bought a preowned 2017 Subaru Outback that previously had a hitch installed. I want purchase a hitch and I am drawn to the Draw Tite because it doesnt require the straps for a bike rack. The existing bolts are 8 inches apart. I dont want to drill more holes but it looks like I might have to go with the Curt. Does that sound correct? The Draw-Tite bolt spacing looks alot longer, but I havent found a spec. Additionally, the last installer did not re-install the muffler heat shield:

If there are only two holes on the frame of your 2017 Subaru Outback wagon the Curt hitch part # C13206 was what was installed on your vehicle. Installing this hitch allows you not to have to drill.
The Draw Tite part # 75673 will require drilling but doesn't require the stabilizer strap. So it's a bit of a trade off.
