If you have a 2-1/2 inch receiver on your truck then you can use the Curt # C45048 which will give you 34 inches of extension and can use weight distribution to get you to towing capacity needed. To get the same 34 inches, you can also use the Reese # RP45292 which is rated for the same capacity with weight distribution.
Another option for a 2-1/2 inch receiver is Reese # RP45018, which will also allow the capacity of up to 6,000 lbs with weight distribution, but will give you a 41 inch length extension.
Finally, the best option for strength and durability on your 2018 Chevy 3500 is to replace your trailer hitch receiver with the dual receiver # TLC1211 for a long bed or # TLC1212 for a short bed and then use the TorkLift SuperTruss Hitch Extension for SuperHitch Trailer Hitch Receivers - 36" Long # TLE1536 which can be used without a weight distribution system as well as with one.
If you want a weight distributions system option, I recommend the Fastway e2 # FA92-00-0800 for the tongue weight of that trailer. I've attached an article to assist. Let me know if you have further questions.
