Will a Torflex Lift Kit # K71-725-02 Work on an Aluminum Boat Trailer

Hi, This life would work well on a aluminum boat trailer I want to lift. How to you recommend preventing corrosion between the dissimilar metals? Currently the axles are bolted to the aluminum frame from the factory. Is there a spacer or tape that can be used between the two? How about the hardware? Thanks!

There isn't a trailer type restriction for the Torflex Lift Kit # K71-725-02 but there is an axle restriction. To use this kit your axle would have to be a Dexter #12 Torflex axle. And it can't be used if the brackets the axle is attached to now are 3 inches tall.

There isn't any specific galvanic corrosion isolator designed for this part but there are many ways you can combat this potential problem. The easiest is probably going to be to apply additional coats of paint so that the metals are protected from each other.

The hardware is steel so you can put some thread sealant, # LT37482, on them prior to installation.
