Best Bike Rack to Carry a Salsa Warbird and EZ-SPORT AX Bike

Question:

Which hitch bike rack would you recommend to carry both a recumbent Sun Seeker EZ Sport AX 26-20 bike with a 62inch wheel base span and a Salsa Warbird bike which would have a much smaller wheel base? Also, do you have any bike racks which would carry 1 recumbent bike with the 62inch wheel base and 2 Salsa Warbird bikes?

I did a bit of research on your Salsa Warbird/EZ-SPORT AX bikes and believe to have found the perfect carrier for you. I recommend using the Hollywood Racks Sport Rider 2-Bike Carrier part # HR1000Z-R. This rack works on both 1-1/4" and 2" trailer hitch receivers.

The Hollywood Racks Sport Rider will easily allow you to carry both your Salsa Warbird and EZ-SPORT AX at the same time. The reason it is able to carry two bikes with completely different wheelbases has to do with its adjustable cradles. The cradles on the above bike rack can be adjusted for each bike for a maximum wheelbase of 74".

I also recommend using the Anti-Rattle Hitch Lock and Cable Lock Set part # HRLHPTC which will lock the bikes to the rack and rack to the vehicle. Unfortunately, none of our bike carriers that work with recumbent bikes will allow for multiple bikes to be carried in addition to the recumbent.
