Remote Mount Transmission Cooler with Fan Recommendation for 2014 Ram 1500
Question:
I have a 2014 Ram 1500 that I use to tow a 7,000 to 8,000lb trailer. I seem to find myself in the mountains a lot and getting temps higher than I like seeing. The issue with the 2014 Ram is there is not much room in front of the radiator. Will this combo cooler with fan be just as effective mounted under the engine bay area as the cooler without fan in front of the radiator? Any recommendations would be appreciated. Thanks.

For your application the Derale Electra-Cool Combo Engine and Transmission Cooler Assembly w/ Fan # D15200 would be perfect. What's great about remote mount coolers with fans like this is that you don't have to have direct air flow for them to be effective. The fan of this will create all the air flow needed. This would be a great option for your 2014 Ram 1500 and will make a big difference keep the transmission fluid temps down which will prolong the life of it.
