Using the Yakima Skybox 21 on a 2017 Ford Transit T250 With Rhino-Rack Roof Crossbars

Hi I have a 2017 Ford Transit 250 conversion van and looking to get a rack to fit my Yakima Skybox 21 and some water sports equipment. Looking at your Questions and Answers section some bars dont fit the skybox clamps. I am looking at the 70inch versions of the Rhino-Rack Vortex Aero Crossbars or Rhino-Rack Heavy-Duty Roof Rack Crossbars. Will both of these work on the Yakima clamps? Thanks

You're right, there are some bars that don't fit the Skybox clamps. Specifically, the Rhino Rack HD bars are not able to fit these clamps, but the Vortex Aero bars will fit the clamps.

For your vehicle, I recommend the following kit:

Rhino Rack Vortex Aero Crossbars, 70 Inches, Silver, part # RRVA180S-2, or Black, part # RRVA180B-2
Rhino Rack RLTP Legs for Fixed Points, part # RRRLTPFC-2
Rhino Rack Leg Adapters, part # RRVA-FK1-2

This will install a fixed-point system to your roof, allowing you to equip your Skybox and water accessories onto your roof.
