Availability of 1-1/4 Inch Ball Mount with 7-1/2 Inch Rise
Question:
Does anyone make one of these that you can use for towing? My current tow bar needs to be 10 inches hole to hole so I am not concerned with this causing extra length and torque. What I need is extra rise. My hitch is only 10 inches from the ground and the highest rise towbar is 5 inches. I need to get to 17 and 1/2 inches. Extended shank 2 in balls with a 3/4 in shank do not seem to be available. My hitch is a class II, but I only need to tow 900 pounds. Thanks for any help you can offer.

The highest rise ball mount we currently have available for 1-1/4 inch receivers is the Curt Drawbar # C45028, which features a rise of 5-3/8 inches. While this isn't the 7-1/2 inches you are needing to get you to a total of 17-1/2 inches from the ground, it is currently the best option available.
I do recommend verifying the rise you are needing by taking a couple measurements on your vehicle and trailer. To do this, you will measure from the ground to the top of the hitch receiver on the tow vehicle. Then on the trailer, you will measure from the ground to the bottom of the coupler. The difference between the two measurements will be the rise you are needing to tow the trailer level.
None of the hitch expanders we have available that would allow use of a higher rise ball mount, such as the Brophy # HTAD that you mentioned, are designed to be used for towing.
