High Capacity Trailer Hitch Recommendation for 2004 GMC Sierra 2500HD to Replace Factory Hitch

Question:

I have a 2004 GMC 2500HD with a duramax diesel. I want to replace the factory oem hitch due to an oval pin hole in the hitch. I want a heavy duty class v hitch that would be a direct bolt on replacement. I have forklift frame mounted camper tie downs, so I would need something that would work with these. I also need a need plug that would allow me to use the 7 pin and 4 pin connector at the same time when I haul my camper and trailer with side x side. I would also need a mounting bracket with the lowest clearance profile as possible. Another item I would like to look at is a 4 pin extension as my camper has a over hang and I have to use an extension to clear the camper to mount trailer to ball. This creates an issue with the length of the trailer 4 pin connection. Any options would be appreciated. Regards,

For your 2004 GMC Sierra 2500HD we have the Draw Tite part # 41944 which is a Class V confirmed as a fit for your truck once you remove the factory hitch. This will also work with your front Torklift tie down # TLC2205 but you'll need to go with a new rear tie down part # TLC3205.

For a 4-way you can install inline with your 7-way we have the part # C55384 which will work great. This 4-way is 36 inches long so you would probably not need an extension.

Question:

1 Will the curt hitch # 15302 fit my 2004 GMC 2500hd dura max with a direct bolt on application? I have torklift frame mounted tie downs installed. Jamison has given me the information on the drawtite # 41944, but I like the curt product better. Also is the endurance #40920 capable of both the 7 pin and 4 pin being used at the same time? What mounting bracket would be required for the above mentioned endurance product? Thanks

The Curt hitch part # C15302 will fit on your 2004 GMC Sierra 2500HD if you have a short bed truck.

The Hopkins 7 and 4-way part # HM40920 will have both wiring connectors active at the same time if needed.
