The EcoHitch Hidden Trailer Hitch # 306-X7309 will fit your 2016 VW GTI. This 2" hitch is a fit for all models of the 2016 Volkswagen Golf with the exception of R models.

To add a 4-way to your '16 GTI the correct wiring harness is # 119250KIT. If you are going to be towing, I recommend checking out Ball Mount Kit # 989900, which may fulfill your towing needs in one tidy package; two ball mounts - one with a 3/4” rise or 2” drop and the other with a 2-3/4” rise or 4” drop - a 1-7/8” hitch ball, a 2” hitch ball, and a pin and clip.
