Class III Trailer Hitch Receiver for a 2011 Subaru Outback Wagon
Question:
Im looking to set up my 2011 subaru outback 3.6r with a class 3 hitch, preferably with a light plug mounted to the hitch. I don't care for the wires hanging from the rear hatch look. Any recommendations? Also, will the hitch affect my ground clearance?

I recommend the EcoHitch Class III Hitch, part # 306-X7162 for your 2011 Subaru Outback Wagon. This hitch is a no-drill installation that will let you quickly add the Class III hitch to your kit.
For the wiring, I recommend Tekonsha's T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness, part # 118467. This kit installs using your vehicle's factory trailer wiring harness. I've included a video detailing how this installs.
Additionally, this video includes instructions on how to install the wiring through the vehicle using an additional bracket, part # 18144 and part # 18140 to get a factory OEM look for the tow wire.
Finally, I've added our trailer hitch installation guide to help your install go as smoothly as possible.
