In order to remove the existing hitch ball combo on your Andersen Rapid Hitch Ball Mount like # AM3411, you will first need to remove the internal pin that goes through the ball housing and hitch ball. The small pin has a threaded hole in it, through which you can insert a 1/4 inch screw or bolt to thread into it. You can then simply turn the pin so that it starts to come out enough from the housing so you can pull it out the rest of the way. Once the pin is removed, the ball combo will slide right out.
If you still have any issues removing the hitch balls or installing the new one, please let me know and I will be happy to help you further.

Can you send me a picture of your Anderson hitch ball combo or let me know what exact part number you have? 72697
Good day, contacted rapid hitch about the silent cap falling off my 2 5/16 inch ball they sent me a new cap. How do I install that properly to the ball? 76325
I'm not quite sure what part you're referring to - are you speaking of the pin mentioned above or something different? 62306
@ChrisR so rapid hitch has a dual ball set up that has a black cap on the top half of the ball. It’s a “nylon—greaseless cap”. While looking this up again I found a video on e-trailer that says I “only” have to snap it on To replace it. I spoke to a a person from Anderson hitch who was not positive about reinstalling the cap, but thought I needed to place it in hot water first then install......I’m guessing the ball should be cleaned of any debris on the surface first. Any knowledge on the actual method of installation??? 62345
@Ray Thanks so much for the additional info. The most info I could gather is that there is a ridge on the cap that will basically lock it into place once enough pressure is put on it. Definitely clean the ball as best you can before pressing the cap on and following the rep's advice of putting it in hot water first will help. 62461
