Trailer Hitch Mount 4 Bike Rack Recommendation for a 2006 Hummer H2
Question:
I am considering e-trailers Hidden Hitch which extends up to 18 inches. My intent is to combine it with a bicycle carrier such as the Advantage GlideAway 4-Bike Rack or a Swing Away Rack such as e-trailers Yakima SwingDaddy. My goal is to be able to open the spare tire carrier on a 2006 Hummer H2 so as to be able to lift the rear entry hatch. Will my plan work with the products I have mentioned? Any other recommendations?

I do not recommend the use of the trailer hitch extender # he18 for use with a bike rack. Using a hitch extension reduces the the tongue weight capacity of the hitch by 50 percent. With a bike rack like the Yakima SwingDaddy and the rack loaded to its 120 pound capacity, the combined weight of the racks and bikes would be enough to exceed or come close to the maximum reduced tongue weight capacity.
