Roof Rack to Carry a Paddleboard or Kayak on a 2016 Buick Encore
Question:
Hello, Im looking to be able to transport a paddleboard or kayak on the roof of my 2016 Buick Encore. What do you recommend? Id prefer the easiest solution. Im leaning towards getting a paddleboard so if there is an easier one for just paddleboards, that may be better. Thank you.

If you don't already have a complete roof rack with crossbars on the roof of your 2016 Buick Encore you need to start there. You Encore should have flush mounted rails and we have the Rhino-Rack Vortex Aero system that fits. Use parts # RRSX040 to mount the # RRVA126B-2 crossbars.
Then to carry the SUP on the crossbars use a carrier like the Lockrack Adjustable XL Watersport Carrier, part # LR54FR. The SupPup connects to the crossbars. It can actually carry 2 SUPs if needed.
If you're looking for something to carry either a kayak or a SUP we have the Thule DockGrip, part # TH895. It's a saddle carrier that can be used for either one.
I also recommend the Malone QuickLash hood loops, part # MPG308, to make it easier to find a place to connect the tie-downs on your Buick.
