Question:
I need to replace bearings, races, seals on a Wells Cargo Tote Wagon. There is not a hole through the spindle for a cotter key, so I need your advise on what kit to purchase. The spindle is 1 3/8inch at the base tapering to 1 1/16 inch at the threaded end. The spindle is the type with the grease fitting built in to the threaded end. Thanks for any help you can provide.

E-Z Lube spindles that have the grease zerk fitting on the end like yours don't use a cotter pin because it would interfere with the grease running through the spindle. Instead they use a tang washer, like part # 5-101, which you should have.
From your measurements it sounds like you have a popular # 84 spindle which uses bearings # L68149 and # L44649 for the inner and outer respectively. Verify with the bearings you have and if they're correct the kit you need is part # BK2-100 which includes the bearings, races, grease seal, the tang washer and the cotter pin that you won't need.
