Question:
I have an 02 Silverado extended cab w/cap. I want to haul kayaks. can I buy an individual rack1for cab and one for cap? Kayaks are 12foot long. Obviously will need two different mounts. Help!

Best option would be the TracRac CapRac part # TH29200XT. This has more than enough capacity and would easily carry a 12 foot long camper. Going with a truck cab roof rack would be to a bit overkill and would honestly not work as easily as you'd think since the crossbar height would most likely be different.
The Malone Kayak Carrier part # MPG1001 would then be a great solution as it is a kayak carrier that is designed to fit channels like what the CapRac has.
