Compatibility of Yakima SpareRide 2 Part # Y02599 with LT285/70R17 Spare Tire on Jeep Wrangler
Question:
I have aftermarket wheels on my Jeep Wrangler, sized: LT285/70R17. Will the Yakima SpareRide work for me? I checked the manual online, and it states that if I use the longer tongue, it will fit tires 285 to 12.5. So I assume, it will work since I have 285s. I just want to make sure before I drop $180. Thank you, so much!!

According to our friends at Yakima, the SpareRide 2 will fit spare tires up to 12-1/2 inches thick (which includes your LT285 tires).
It will not work with 8 lug spares or spares with the hole pattern diameter greater than 5-1/2 inches.
