What is the Torque Spec of the Factory U-Bolts on a 2011 Toyota Tacoma
Question:
I have item number SSR-610-40 on order for my 2011 Toyota Tacoma quad cab short box sport package truck. I am looking for the torque spec on the U bolts when installing item number SSR-610-40. I have found numbers from 52 ft lbs to all the way up to 95 ft lbs. Also, do I need to use loctite on the U bolts?

I called my contact at SuperSprings and they informed me that in order to obtain the specifications as to how many foot pounds of torque needs to be applied to the factory u-bolts, you would need to obtain your VIN and contact the manufacturer. Another option you have would be to contact your local repair shop who has access to a program called, "ALLDATA". Unfortunately, these are the only options I have for you to determine the correct torque spec for the factory u-bolts on your 2011 Toyota Tacoma. You would not need to use loctite on the factory u-bolts, just the studs on the SumoSprings Solo Custom Helper Springs part # SSR-610-40.
